Let’s start with a few things I learned this summer:

1. Trust your paranoia instinct

2. The greatest sense, besides your 6th sense, is vision

3. For every one truly cool person that comes into your life, there are 11 equally sleazy subscums that come crawling out from under the ooze to screw with you

4. Never give up on your dream

5. Mother Nature will always bitch slap back

6. The new Battlestar Galactica rocks

7. The view from the Chateau Marmont junior penthouse suite is awesome (see below)

8. My respect and admiration and fear for my cousin Jason in Iraq and for “Soldier Girl S” in Afghanistan never ends

9. I finally found a writing career that will not be outsourced and makes good bank

10. Ponzu foam is delicious
